NIPT – Non-invasive prenatal test

For some time now, many pregnant women have been offered the so-called non-invasive prenatal test (NIPT)—a blood test for trisomies 13, 18, and 21—which is covered by health insurance. Trisomies are rare genetic conditions that can affect a child’s physical and mental development in various ways.
Before taking the test and if the result is positive, you can contact any pregnancy counseling center (ProFamilia, SKF, Diakonie) for advice on what to do next. We are also happy to support you, offering guidance and assistance both before the test and as you move forward after a positive result. If you are not already under our care, please feel free to contact us by phone or email to schedule an appointment.
