Help us with the renovation

Over the past 30 years, more than 3,500 children have been born at the Marburg Birth Center. More than 80% of the women giving birth use our birthing tub to relax during labor.

To ensure that our facilities not only reflect our years of experience but also enable us to work professionally at the highest standard, we are planning to renovate our birthing room, including the bathtub.

A modern birthing tub costs around €20,000. In total, we need approximately €40,000 to completely renovate the birthing room.

Your financial support helps us continue to provide comprehensive midwifery care to many families in Marburg as they prepare for parenthood.

THANK YOU VERY MUCH!

Mission Statement of the Marburg Birth Center

We view pregnancy, childbirth, and the postpartum period as a natural process.

We, the midwives at Geburtshaus Marburg, provide comprehensive care to women and couples throughout pregnancy, helping them prepare for childbirth and the start of parenthood, regardless of their chosen birth location. In addition to the early detection of physical and emotional issues, our prenatal care focuses on supporting expectant mothers through personalized counseling on the range of available diagnostic options. Our goal is to strengthen confidence in one’s own ability to give birth. In doing so, we distinguish between normal pregnancy progressions and critical situations. Through continuing education and emergency training, we are constantly expanding our knowledge. For many years, we have been reviewing and optimizing our processes through a quality management system.

Through personalized, low-intervention, and holistic care, we create a safe space where women can give birth to their child at their own pace and under their own strength. Our work is characterized by informed restraint and evidence-based practice. We support the natural birth process with joy and dedication. As a sentient social being, the child is actively involved in the birth and influences its course through its emotional state.

During childbirth, women receive continuous support from a midwife. We minimize birth risks through relationship-centered care and work as a team in an atmosphere characterized by tolerance, openness, and sincerity. We support expectant mothers with care and focus, responding to any deviations from the norm in a targeted and forward-thinking manner. We view our profession as a craft.

Sharing a common vision and firmly believing in the value of our work, we aim to lay the groundwork for a healthy, positive outlook on life. In our collaboration with our partners, we place a high value on clear agreements and effective communication.

We measure the success of our work by the satisfaction of the couples we support and the well-being of the children; we have been working successfully at the Marburg Birth Center for over 25 years.
